BIOGRAPHY

Will of Nothing is an Italian metal band from Milan.  

The guitarist/composer Patrik Matrone and vocalist Ilaria Nicolotti formed the band in October 2015. Their music ranges from symphonic metal to alternative and progressive, a perfect and dramatic soundtrack for their lyrics which refer to personal past.

 

PATRIK

Patrik Matrone [Ossona (MI) - August 25, 1980] is an Italian musician, composer and producer.

A self-taught guitarist, he began playing when he was 13 years old.

After many experiences in different bands from Milan, he founded Ora Nombro, a band inspired by Progressive, Rock and Metal sounds.

When they broke up, Pat began working as a sound arranger and sound engineer for various artists.

In 2015, through common friendships, he met Ilaria, with whom he founded Will of Nothing.

Pat's musical influences range from progressive rock/metal to electronic music: Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Haken, Faith No More, Alter Bridge, Metallica, Megadeth, Depeche Mode, Allan Holdsworth, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Steven Wilson, Chick Corea, Symphony X, Blind Guardian, Led Zeppelin and many others.

 

ILARIA

Ilaria Nicolotti [Angera (VA) - May 20, 1995] is an Italian singer and musician. 

Her first contact with music occurred thanks to her grandfather, who played the piano beside her when she was only a child.

At the age of 11 she began studying singing and theory of music in a local academy.

She then continued her studies at the musical high school of Varese. 

During those years she was a member of various rock/pop cover bands with which she sang and played in local fest and pub. 

She met Patrik in 2015 and they founded Will of Nothing.

Ila's musical influences range from alternative, rock and metal to pop and electronic music: Placebo, Three Days Grace, Nickelback, Queen, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Guns n'Roses, Lacuna Coil, Linkin Park, MUSE, Michael Jackson and many others.
